We are in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico

We are now in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. Been here since about 1:15. We left the campground in Amado, AZ at 7:15 this morning. Very uneventful trip of 286 miles here.
We crossed the US border around 20 to eight and arrived at Mexican Immigration at Km 21 at 8:10. We were the only tourists there. We filled out the paperwork for our tourist cards took them to the Banjercito to pay for them and get the paperwork done for the Jeep. By 8:40 we were back in the Alfa and on our way. This year we didn’t even have to get copies of the tourist cards. And no stamping of our passports either.
No check point at Immigration this year. In fact the whole area was torn up. We were not stopped once between the border and San Carlos.
After getting to San Carlos and setting up we went in hunt of an ATM – there is one in the Leys Supermarket. Then to lunch on the beach at La Palapa.
When we got back at the campground we found our friend John from Idaho. He had just pulled in. He is on his way to Aticama for the winter.
Luckily the rv park has good wifi as we haven’t seen a TelCel store here in San Carlos. Will have to go to Guaymas to get ours activated or buy a new one.

I’ll write more either later or tomorrow morning about today's trip – just wanted to get this posted.
